The Foundation
As with all decent fitness plans, they need progress reports and pictures, I hope to keep all of them in here to show how I am coming along.
September 2012 |
This is where I started from in 2012, my figure was alright, but the bottom line was that I wasn't happy with it. I thought about going straight for bulking but I have never been very good at coping with extra bodyfat so I decided to cut first, this involved a couple of emails between myself and Andy Morgan and then using his detailed diet set up to work out what I should be eating, this was completely new to me as I had always had the attitude that what I ate didn't really matter as long as it was "healthy" and I worked out, but I had never seen my abs up until now.
So after 16 weeks of cutting, this is where I am currently, I think my bodyfat is pretty low here, about 8/9% give or take, but feel free to dispute that. In this picture I weight 63kgs and my stats are: BP: 75kg, DeadliftL 135kg, Squat: 85kg. Nothing impressive, but alright for my weight I guess. Deadlifts have always been my strong suit.

Just to show where I was before picture 1. This is why I love looking back, you don't notice the progression week by week until you look at how you were months or years ago.
Where to go from here?
The plan is to add as much mass as possible whilst keeping the fat gain as low as possible. Because of this I won't be following the conventional dirty bulking, eat everything approach, all of my food will be carefully selected and intake monitored in order to help put on some extra muscle but keep the fat gain down. As I sit here and type this I currently weigh 64kgs and am 170cm. I am fairly light for my build and height, put this down to a slimmer or less dense bone structure or whatever you want.
I am hoping to add at least 10kgs of muscle by the end of this course, and hopefully a little more.
